| Quantity | Ingredient |
|---|---|
| 2 tbsp | butter |
| 1 lb | lean ground beef |
| ½ | onion, diced |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| ½ tsp | black pepper |
| ½ cup | The Original Louisiana Brand Hot Sauce |
| 4 | slices American cheese |
| ¼ cup | mayonnaise |
| 4 | sesame buns, split |
| 1 cup | shredded lettuce |
| 8 | slices tomato |
| 16 | bread and butter pickles |
| 2 tbsp | yellow mustard |
In large skillet set over medium-high heat, melt butter. Cook ground beef, onion, salt and pepper, stirring occasionally and breaking up beef, for 8 to 10 minutes or until starting to crisp and brown.
Stir in 2 tbsp The Original Louisiana Brand® Hot Sauce. Divide meat mixture into 4 portions in pan. Top each with cheese slice. Reduce heat to low. Cover pan and cook, undisturbed, for 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese has melted.
Spread mayonnaise over bottom halves of buns. Assemble cheeseburger mixture in buns with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard and remaining hot sauce.
Tip: For mushroom-bacon chopped cheeseburgers, cook chopped bacon and sliced mushrooms in with the ground beef.
